I think Carolyn has a point. Regardless of the circumstances, I think it's only right that you take some responsibility for having misplaced the first check to begin with. Going back through one's accounting system to take all the steps necessary to re-issue a check takes some time and may be more complicated than simply writing a check and sticking it in an envelope. Besides, it's not her fault that she's being asked to make an exception from her normal procedures. I also don't see this as the same as never having issued a check to begin with. Seems to me that some of your indignation is misplaced. |
