Disagree, why do you think they print that on business checks?? Checks expire. You fail to cash is not their problem, but yours. Although a nice idea to re issue a check, they are under no obligation to do so by law, and printed on the check for a reason.
As far as your police getting involved in this, hard to say, because they would write a police report and you go to court to decide the issue. The police here never get involved in domesticate/business issues. It's not their call to tell a person to pay someone when they are a third party. They are not a judge ordering someone to pay, when she did, you refused to cash the check...even though you lost it, not the business's fault. AND for running your mouth dissing the hiring party because you say she never paid, is a flat out lie. You are now trashing her online and in public, and she could be suing you , because technically she paid you. Your fault you lost it. |
