I hope you get paid, and the legal issues go both way if you research online paying on expired checks, but more in her favor than yours. I just have an issue with you telling everyone she never paid you, when she did. You sound really nasty in your post from the get go. This is no different than having a gift card, and they deduct a service fee or % each month of an outstanding balance because your not using it. Business do not like their books left open for long periods of time, and like to balance their books. Truthfully you should cease and desist in your negativity towards her and her business when you messed up on your end. Even though you say it was no fault of your own, you still are the master of your own affairs. If you kept accurate books, you would have found this outstanding check much sooner than you did, and questioned it lost sooner.
