IMO, that was the whole purpose of the original post. And ananotary responded with another opinion about something that can help a person be more successful in this business (which, as I've previously stated, I heartily agree with). But instead of considering those recommendations, you not only appear to have dismissed them out of hand and offered excuses for maintaining your status quo or believing that it wouldn't work in your area, you tried to convince all the other readers on this forum that you are right and they are wrong.
If you believe something doesn't work for you or in your area, you have every right to do so. You also have every right to use your own business model. I don't believe people hate you for that and I don't believe (for the most part, at least... I can't speak for everyone) that it's even personal. Some of us just strongly disagree with your opinions on some things. (NOT on everything.) But instead of accepting differences of opinion, you seem to want to continue to argue your points until enough others validate your position. Some of us believe that those comments can sometimes hurt other people's businesses and even our industry as a whole. Otherwise, we either ignore the thread or express our own thoughts and move on.
Each person has to make their own judgments about what works for them and what doesn't. And most of the time, there isn't only one right answer. Personally, I'm very careful with whose advice I follow, whether it be on this forum, on other forums or in person. [But I wouldn't bother to meet with others whose attitudes and practices I didn't respect. BTW, that doesn't mean that I always agree with all of them in every case, either, and I imagine the feeling is mutual!]
I'm also very careful with whom I share certain specifics about how I run my business and who I work with, and I believe that to be true for nearly all successful business owners. That's certainly true for anyone I network with. So as the others have said, don't expect that kind of proprietary info to be spelled out publicly. Networking should be mutually beneficial, so if you're looking to network with someone, you'll have a tough time connecting with people for whom you only take and have nothing to offer... [For the record, this last part is meant for the general readership here, not for anyone in particular.]
