Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Your client will blame YOU when this POA is rejected because of its line-thru’s and strike-outs, replacement date and signature, replacement cert - looking tacky and suspicious....on a POA. POAs should be updated every 5 years, anyway, whether or not there are changes. This is according to an estate planning attorney I networked with and notarized for. Save yourself the headache....don’t set yourself up to be blamed when this thing gets rejected by banks, etc. The client will give you grief because THEY were too lazy to get a clean POA for notarization.
