Re: Some signings take too long for a different reason...

Soooo true and when the loan officer is there wooing the agent it gets to be a 3 ring circus
trying to guide the signers. If it is a first time home buyer and I think they are a nervous
wreck to start I turn and address the LO and REA and ask: "May I conduct the signing with
your clients please? Any missing initial or sig could delay the funding. P.S. I also command a
seating arrangement that gives me the ability to watch their every initial and sig and a smooth
paper flow.
Here in California where folks refi ALOT they usually greet you with PLEASE DO THIS ASAP WE
ARE EXPERIENCED AND HAVE DONE THIS OVER AND OVER and the last notary took close to
2 hours. I POLITELY put my foot down and say I'll speed as fast as I can so as to NOT let
you make a mistake or omission. Being 'in charge' and 'not chatty' is what most folks want.
But as several others mentioned here learn to read the client and see how goes on the first
few pages. BE ON TIME AND DRESS PROFESSIONALLY Happy Signings All
