Nope, cannot face time a witness, it isn't a RON closing. I had one who said don't worry about it, they will sign it when they get it. You did that right. Covid has nothing to do with it. FL has been open for a long time and never made accommodations for all that mess other states were doing like sitting a car, zoom, peeking through windows.
I would not have left the docs there. They are your responsibility and you were paid to deliver. If they signed and you witness, that witness technically didn't see anything. That's a technicality, BUT the way this went, her telling you they are not using you again and so on, I wouldn't have cared and done it the right way. Just me.
This is the problem...they could have just let you handle it and stepped back like you did or they can pay you and maybe you can bring someone if they didn't have one. Face timing is not legal, and how are they signing it? When they get back of course. They are not fooling anyone. jmo |
