Received loan package this morning for signing today 1-31-18. Discover Bank is the lender. Title is Lender Live. The DOT is dated for Feb. 3, 2018; second signer is in Nevada signing this Saturday. The title officer directed me to notarized the first signer's signature on ALL documents where required regardless of future date. I explained that borrowers can sign documents on the day they are dated for or any day thereafter but CANNOT sign prior to the actual date. They are now accusing me of being uncomfortable with the signing because they don't think its illegal to have a package signed prior to the date of the documents. They want me to notarize signer's signature today no matter what I think or know.
