I know we all have the right to our own opinions. But when our actions potentially affect others - especially to the point of life and death - then I feel we have a greater responsibility. And I believe it's irresponsible - even selfish - to downplay the risk and continue to go out unless absolutely necessary in the current environment. The fact that there are thousands of others working doesn't mean that a few more don't make a difference. Every ONE potentially makes a difference. I don't think it's possible to overstate the seriousness of the current situation. I can't think of anything (short of another world war, perhaps) that would be worse.
And if you believe that 'following procedures' makes it completely safe, then you're deluding yourselves. If that were so, we wouldn't see the high number of medical professionals coming down with this virus. (Some have already died and more will.) Which raises the question: how many masks are you going through that are subsequently NOT available for those medical folks doing the REAL essential work in these times?
You say these methods are effective. That may be true for getting a set of loan docs signed, but you have no way of knowing how effective it is for preventing further spread of this coronavirus. You'll never know whether or not you may have unwittingly been a vector passing this on to others - people who might be at much greater risk than you.
One more thing... the more people who ignore the 'stay at home' orders, the longer this will take to put behind us - and it will NOT be soon, at the present level of compliance.
