Once having chicken pox, the virus stays dormant in your body and can activate into shingles. If you’ve never had chicken pox, you can’t get shingles, but you can get chicken pox from someone with shingles.
So, if you’ve never had chicken pox and get shingles vaccine, I don’t know if you would/could get chicken pox. If you don’t know if you’ve ever had chicken pox, I don’t know if there is a way the doctor can test—worth asking the doctor. |
