Brenda I am inclined to agree with you. I actually had a similar debate, un-related to fax backs, about an SA in MA who unwillingly accepted a signing from SOX.
To make a long story short-- I suggested to him that he should cancel because SOX was trying to be sneaky about revealing their identity. A couple posters did not agree. Which is okay.... everyone has their right to an opinion.
This is a business for cripse sake! Why would anyone take the nonsense you've endured? I will not be blindsided. If they (SS) try to screw me in anyway, I would politely drop the assignment. I don't care if they think I am being harsh, or am harming the borrower(s).
This, again, is a business. And to put it quite frankly, if a business wants to screw you over (blindside ya) then screw right back by not accepting the assignment.
