I've never had that happen with a cardboard carrier. In fact many of my clients request them over the plastic ones as documents can shift a lot.
However, if they had specific instructions, it's always a good practice to follow them.
I personally don't think you should be responsible for the $200 unless they can prove you dropped the package off in that condition. Even weather, or other circumstances can damage a package once it's in the hands of a carrier. |
