Notifying your E&O carrier immediately upon receiving a legal notice, letter, or call from an attorney, & even information about a notorization performed years earlier, is the best practice. Your carrier will appoint an attorney to sort the matter out, and then advise you how to proceed. The E&O carrier wants to determine if an enquiry is preliminary to a legal claim or not. |
