So I called my E&O company and told them what happened. They said they were going to call me back and they never did. I showed up to court early, leaving at 6:30 am because of LA traffic to be there on time by 8:30 am. Only the title company and their attorney were there, the others being there via zoom or something like that. I didn't know that was an option, know I know. The judge called us up and we introduced ourselves. I said my name and that I am an independent notary, the attorney leaned over to me and said "that was very good". I guess mentioning that I was independent was good. So, she tells the judge that they were still in talks with the plaintiff and the judge goes "Ok, come back on February 23rd at 9 am". And that was it. I looked at the Title company attorney and she said that was it and to come back. She said to contact the plaintiffs attorney and file objections to be taken off the case. It was a big build-up and nothing happened. So, I'm gonna call E&O again and see what's going on. |
