Interesting commentary overall. This is my takeaway (msg cited).

National title companies seem to have a legitimate need for SSs (SD is powerful proof of that). May not be able to change that business dynamic but one I don't have to take lying down either. A notary relying on signings as a primary income AND working thru third-party services is at a serious disadvantage. Not sustainable where I am. Would rather work at Pt than feed the notion that it is inevitable that my services MUST be discounted (devalued) in order to get work. Wouldn't it be easier to get a Job, benefits, leave, pto?

At some point it makes more sense to buy the seeds and plant the tree yourself; of course if it's only the occasional peach pie slice you're after . . .

p.s. Not much in the way of work through local tc competition here - but not impossible either. My very 1st signing over six years ago was a local tc office call after hours. I didn't even know what to charge! Anyway, I'd be a fool not to leave 'em my card whenever I get the chanceWink
