"The original post mainly consists of a link to a Markets Insider web page. I see nothing about a police officer or body cam."
Leading questions are designed to get people to think.
Besides the link, the majority of the post consisted of this:
"I signed a Police Officer/detective a couple weeks ago (purchase) and we were talking about electronic notaries, and he is very much against it... anyone know or have family in this field who can write letters to help with the coming legislation against this bill?"
Getting back to the question. If you are going to cite a police officer as a figure of authority on notary law and fraud, then it also makes sense to compare the use of their bodycam as a means to record activity that may come into legal question. The comparison is only as good as citing the officer's opinion in the first place. It holds no weight in this matter.
Your other comparisons of inability to conduct notary business due to internet being down makes little sense since physical notary work will always exist. Mobile signing is just one avenue of notary work. The world won't stop. That's the case you are presenting. In most cases RON will be a much faster and easier avenue for the purposes you cited.
