To take this a bit further, a TEXAS notary properly performing a RON must make a verbal statement on record to the effect that the principal has indeed passed the KBA / Credential analysis portion of the identity test and that upon having viewed the credential, the TX notary believes that the credential is the person who is sitting in front of him/her.
You would know, but I had hoped that they had developed better tech than this. ----> "The location of the signer and the notary is recorded, to the extent the technology can figure out. Especially when using a laptop or desktop, there is a substantial chance the technology-indicated location will be hundreds of miles from the actual location."
