Well, not all true on the cons for Keto from what I am researching, but then again there are lots of opinions out there on this and even food guides. One says onions are fine cooked and small amounts, the other says no way...I think opinions are just that and nobody has it down to a science because we are all different I think. Basically no sugars no carbs, no processed foods.
You don't have to measure your food (the beauty of this diet), I never read that you have to take supplements because you are allowed fruits, mainly berries and melon, meat, and dairy, just the right kinds and prepared correctly, but you can take a vitamin of course if you want to. With Atkins you did. And I haven't read where you have to measure your glucose or ketones either 2x a day. The body doesn't "freak out" and is a natural way to burn fat as well. It maybe isn't used to it, or likes it, but is a natural way.
The Paleo is similar, but you have some carbs, so defeating a faster weight loss goal.
I think all are good, it just depends on how fast you want to take it off basically. I don't think anyone has died of any of these diets. You do go through a period called the Keto-flu, but then bounce back and feel great.
Ideally, I will lose the weight with Keto and then switch to the milder Mediterranean or Paleo diet to maintain.
