Thanks everyone on your advice. I was just interested in the Keto and checked out a bunch of books at the library about it. It seems you go through a phase for about 1-2 weeks of flu-like symptoms as your body adjusts to the no carb/ sugar, no fuel it's used to and transitions to the burning fat mode, then you feel great and have a lot of energy. People with epilepsy have been on this diet for a long time I read, it's good for the brain.
Years ago I was on Atkins and I did well except got really tired of just all meat. Back then there were no veggies on board with it, the keto diet has plenty, just have to watch the root veggies the most. I am still trying to figure out on how all that fat you eat relates to your cholesterol levels.
As far as the keto diet, it's all whole foods you eat naturally or you make, nothing processed or premade, so that is healthy.
I plan on starting when I eat up the rest of the non-keto things I have around first. I am thinking by Feb 1st if not sooner I should be ready to try it. |
