I agree with Yoli and Bear900... No keto for me, either. What does your doctor say about it? (Not that all doctors are up to speed on nutrition, diet, etc...)
What you may want to consider doing is at least getting baseline blood tests (cholesterol, blood sugar, triglycerides, etc.) before you start. Then see how they're impacted down the line. I tried a different approach a while back (balanced, with low carbs - primarily fruit and veggies - and measured amounts of lean protein, etc.), and my numbers (already just within healthy ranges) came down significantly. |
